Annette Erskine "I moved to Northfleet in 1987. It has changed a lot since I've been here - the people have changed; the town pretty much looks the same. There are new developments popping up everywhere including one of my doorstep to the annoyance of my daughter! The area is much more diverse now. My favourite local place is Woodlands Park which is a very nice park. A few areas of the park have changed though. They used to have more rides and swings for the children. I moved to Northfleet with a young family and although I lived here, I have always worked in London. So in a weird kind of way I live here but my life was not exclusively Kent-based. I was never a housewife at home and never got to know people locally very well. Now I am semi-retired and I'm getting to know more people in the area where I live. I am in the community more. That is quite new and recent for me." - From Ndini (This is me), a series of photographs and interviews with local residents by Mbeke Waseme, commissioned by Cement Fields for Ebbsfleet Citizen Archive.
